Event organisers are proud to announce the 2023 ARBC Show will be held over a record 10 Days of Action-Packed Competition at the Dalby Equestrian Centre DALBY QLD. Competition begins on Friday 31st March with the Western Dressage Championships, going through to Finals Day the 9th April at the Dalby Equestrian Centre. We will showcase all disciplines with a full program of events for the Reining, Challenge, Australia’s Greatest Horseman & Campdraft events starting Monday 3rd April. Nominations open on the 1st February 2023. Payment plan is available on nominate.com.au. Nominations close on the 21st March 2023.

2023 ARBC Australia’s Greatest Horseman Draws – UPDATED
2023 will see TWO new Feature Events being launched to our already action-packed show.

NEW in 2023 ARBC DERBY SHOOTOUT… The ARBC Derby is our foundation event for the ARBC Show and 2023 will see a Derby Shootout being held with a Total Prize Pool of $45,000.
The Derby is open to five-, six-, seven- and eight-year-old horses to be ridden one handed in a bridle. To enter the Level 3 and/or Level 2 Division within the Open/ Non-Pro Derby, riders must first be nominated in the Open L4 / Non-Pro L4 Derby.
Saturday 8th April will see all 6 divisions of the Derby being held with FIRST GO ROUND PAYOUTS being made to our Top 10 L4 Professional Riders and also our Top 10 L4 Non-Pro Riders. Leading into a Clean Slate Finals for our Top 20 Riders across our Open & Non Pro L4 divisions on Sunday 9th April, Finals Day.
OPEN L4 Prize Pool being $25,000, L3 Prize Pool is $3,000, L2 Prize Pool is $1,000. Payout to the First Go Round Level 4 Open Professional Riders only to the Top 3 scores, 1st $3,000, 2nd $2,000, 3rd $1,000 .
The TOP 10 scores in the Open Derby Level 4 will be announced, to then run in a Clean Slate Finals being held on Sunday 9th April 2023.
Payout schedule for the Open Derby Level 4 $25,000 Total Prize Purse: 1st $10,000, 2nd $6,000, 3rd $3,000, 4th $2,000, 5th to 8th $800, 9th & 10th $400
NON-PRO L4 Prize Pool is $5,000, L3 Prize Pool is $1,000, L2 Prize Pool is $500. Payout to the First Go Round Derby Level 4 Non-Pro Riders to the Top 3 scores 1st $2,000, 2nd $1,000, 3rd $500.

NEW IN 2023 Open & Non Pro Futurity…… The inaugural $16,500 OPEN and NON-PRO Futurity Reining event, being held on Wednesday 5th April 2023.
The Futurity Reining classes are for 3- and 4-year-old horses, if being shown in a bridle the horse must be ridden one handed. If the horse is shown in a snaffle the horse must be ridden two handed. To enter the Level 3 Division within the Open/ Non-Pro Futurity, riders must first be nominated in the Open L4 / Non-Pro L4 Futurity. The Futurity will include Level 4 & Level 3 in both OPEN and NON-PRO Divisions.

REINING COMPETITORS we will once again be running a full Reining Program with newly included event.
ARBC Reining Competitors will be running for a total of 30 Championship Buckles and the coveted ARBC Championship Titles in each class.
2023 we will be holding the Thomas Arena Products Rookie Shootout. The top 10 scores in the Rookie Level 2 will compete in a Clean Slate Final on Sunday 9th April, with the Champion receiving a 2.4M HD Thomas Arena Drag sponsored by Thomas Arena Products. Our Green Riders Level One and Level Two will also be running for Championship Buckles in 2023.

The 2023 ARBC Lil Joe Cash OPEN Derby Event competitors will be running for a Prize Pool of $25,000 PLUS half added, Championship Buckle and Perpetual Trophy, a stunning DVL Saddlery & Equine Trophy Saddle. A Handcrafted Rick Meredith Silver Trophy Bridle and Simply Sensational Garlands. This is the Foundation Feature Event that started it all for our prestigious ARBC Show and we would like to thank all our valued sponsors for supporting this prestigious event.

THE AUSTRALIA’S GREATEST HORSEMAN COMPETITORS you will be running for a Prize Pool of $25,000 Plus a Trophy Saddle.


There will be a first go round of the 3 phases, Two Handed Cutting, Dry Work & Down the Fence, competition begins on Thursday 6th April with the 2 handed cutting phase. This event is open to all aged horses. The Cutting Phase is to be ridden two handed in a snaffle bit. The Dry Work & Down the Fence phases can be ridden one or two handed. If you are riding in a bridle you must ride one handed in these two phases of the event. If riding in a snaffle bit, you can ride two handed in all 3 phases.
The top 15 scores go on to compete in the “Clean Slate Finals” for this Inaugural Australia’s Greatest Horseman Event, held on Saturday Evening 8th April at the Dalby Equestrian Center. Payouts for the FINALS in All 3 Phases is down to 10th Place.

The 2023 OPEN Campdraft Event competitors will be running for a Handcrafted Welsh horse and saddle Trophy Saddle sponsored by Onya Quarter Horses, a Championship Buckle sponsored by crowd favourite Do Me A Favour along with a Prize Pool of $1000 at this years ARBC Show.

ARBC western dressage CHAMPIONSHIPS
The ARBC Western Dressage Championships will cover a full program of tests approved by Western Dressage Association of Australia. We will have walk trot Intro Level classes right through to sanctioned classes with Championship Buckles for each level. Fort Worth Saddlery is sponsoring a full trophy set including a Trophy Bridle, Breast Plate & matching Spur Straps for the highest aggregate percentage of the show.
WESTERN DRESSAGE COMPETITORS we will be running Two Days of Competition with 7 Championship Buckles up for grabs along with a Fort Worth Saddlery Trophy Set for the highest aggregate percentage of the show.
